South Capital believes that the common mindset we’ve been told about investing in the volatile stocks/bond market is not the only, or best, option for retirement or creating long term generational wealth.

We believe that the advantages of commercial multifamily real estate investing should be available to all incomes levels and all investment goals.

What We Do

South Capital identifies underappreciated multifamily properties, in favorable locations, and brings together a syndicate of investors to participate in ownership.

Our Approach

South Capital approaches each investment opportunity with the idea of producing an average annual cash return of at least 8% on upfront investment and a total annual internal rate of return of 17% at a liquidity event inside of a 5-year hold period. We are able to utilize the full life cycle experience of the investment team to de-risk investments to protect initial capital investments while maximizing returns.

Our Team

Stephen has always had a passion for multifamily and his first house, at age 26, was a 3 family Victorian property. Stephen has since been a GP and LP on multiple real estate investments. He is also the Co-Founder and Managing Director of one of the top 50 executive life science search firms in the US as recognized by Hunt Scanlon. He is a Massachusetts native who currently resides in Wilmington, NC with his wife and four children. Outside of managing real estate, you’ll find him spending time with his family, hunting for large ocean fish, or being encouraged by his wife to parachute from another plane.
